Carrying out preventive maintenance on a heavy vehicle is not only essential for the longevity of a truck, but also to ensure the safety of drivers and avoid downtime due to mechanical breakdown, especially with winter approaching!
When you purchase a heavy-duty vehicle, you’ll receive an operator’s manual with recommended maintenance intervals. We suggest that you follow the recommendations given, since, overall, regular maintenance carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations for your particular application, will help to avoid potential breakdowns.
Time is money
Even if the vehicle is new, the sooner problems are detected, the quicker and easier they can be resolved. A simple loose bolt can cause serious damage to a vehicle!
A poorly maintained truck or one with the wrong parts can lead to serious problems on other parts of the truck, such as progressive damage, and can cause a very long downtime, hence the importance of choosing quality parts to keep your truck on the road. It’s no secret that a stopped truck is a loss of revenue.
Ensuring your truck’s warranty
To take full advantage of your truck’s warranty, here are a few elements to check regularly: oil filters, air conditioning, bolt tightening, battery, suspension tightening, to name just a few. As an example, something as simple as checking tire pressure can help save fuel.
Winter is just around the corner! Don’t forget to carry out all the checks you need to drive with peace of mind during the winter season.
Don’t hesitate to contact our experts in the Service Department for advice on recommended maintenance for your truck, or to book an appointment. We have 9 dealerships in Quebec to serve you better – find the address nearest you at globocam.ca/contact-us.
Be proactive, take care of your truck with recommended maintenance, and stay on the road longer!

Freightliner Trois-Rivières joins the GLOBOCAM team!
GLOBOCAM CONTINUES TO GROW FOLLOWING ANOTHER STRATEGIC ACQUISITION
Trois-Rivières, September 5, 2023 —GLOBOCAM, Quebec’s largest network of heavy truck dealerships, is proud to announce the acquisition of Freightliner Trois-Rivières. The synergies from partnering with this long-time family business, which specializes in the sale and repair of heavy Freightliner branded trucks, will enable GLOBOCAM to expand the quality of services it delivers throughout the province.
“We are thrill to continue our growth through the acquisition of Freightliner Trois-Rivières, a company that has been firmly rooted in its community for more than 50 years and is focused on customer service. The integration of this strategic point of service halfway between our Quebec and Montreal dealerships, will enable us to further improve service efficiency throughout Quebec and to better serve our customers, no matter where they are,” says Maxime Boyer, GLOBOCAM’s president.
“GLOBOCAM’s human values, coupled with its desire to be an employer of choice and its focus on customer satisfaction and quality of service are in line with our corporate culture. We are happy to know that they will pursue our mission and continue to grow the brand,” said Marc Bellemare, Freightliner Trois-Rivières’s CEO and co-owner, and Annie Deshaies, its vice-president of operations who is also a co-owner.
Anchored in the Mauricie region
Freightliner Trois-Rivières, which began operating under the LJ Deshaies brand in 1967 in Cap- de-la-Madeleine, first specialized in the repair of a wide variety of transmissions, transmission shafts and differentials.
If 1972, the facility became a franchisee of White Truck, a recognized heavy-duty truck brand. The family business then experienced great success, in part due to the unparalleled level of customer service that it delivered, which set it apart from the competition. In the 1980s, the company became Camion Freightliner Trois-Rivières and acquired 245,000 square feet of land at the corner of highways 40 and 55, a strategic location where the dealership still stands today.
In 2008, at the age of 74, Mr. Deshaies handed over the reins of his business to his daughter, Annie, and his son-in-law Marc Bellemare, both of whom remained involved in the organization, in part to help further enshrine the values that made Freightliner Trois-Rivières so successful for the past five decades.
Continued sustained growth
GLOBOCAM, which made acquisitions in Quebec and Lévis in 2016, Beauce in 2021, Estrie in 2022 and Trois-Rivières in 2023, has more than nine locations in Quebec and continues to progress towards its objective of delivering 2,500 trucks/year by 2025. Company officials are always on the lookout for business opportunities to expand service offerings and to better serve customers.
